When you register a domain name, ICANN (the domain names governing body) requires that your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number are made publicly available. Anyone can see your personal information using a Whois lookup anywhere and anytime. Spammers and junk mailers often search through the Whois database to create mailing lists. That's right. Your personal information is exposed 24 hours a day to these people.
The easiest solution to this problem is of course to use Private Domain Names to protect your contact information.
How does Private Domain Names work?
This service will replace your contact information with the service provider's. They will forward any correspondence to you, after filtering out all the spams and junk emails. The cost for this service varies. My domain name registrar GoDaddy (World Largest Domain Registrars) charges $8.95 per year for this service. However, should you want to get some discount just like myself, you could take up their Private Domain Name service at the point of registering your domain name. If you did that, they will give you a big discount for the domain name where you only need to pay $1.99.
Domains by Proxy
GoDaddy's Private Domain Names service is provided by Domains by Proxy. The member control panel in Domains by Proxy is very simple and straight forward. Basically, it is as easy as logging in and tell the system where to forward correspondences to.
After you have your domain name protected by Domains by Proxy, all your private information will not be shown in Whois search. Your privacy is thus protected!

How To Get Your Contact Details Across: When The Organisers Won?t Let You
How To Get Your Contact Details Across: When The Organisers Won?t Let You
by: Sean D'Souza
Have you ever spoken at an event and they won?t allow you to give your details? Have you gone on the radio and they forget to announce where you can be contacted?
If your contact details are left out or if you?re prevented from giving information, you?ll need to play the game a little smarter.
Understand that most reporters/radio announcers/organisers are quite accomodating. They understand that you?re giving your valuable time in exchange for the publicity. But often enough you?ll run into someone who?s power drunk or whose organisation just won?t budge.
And here?s what I?ve done. And you can do too.
Refer to your product or service many times in the speech. Give an example and say how that particular example coincides with the example on Page 34 or Page 65. Or in the third CD of your 20 CD Workshop.

Bringing Up Baby: Communing With A Humpback Whale
by: Constance Weygandt
Did you ever have a moment in time when you think to yourself, ?This is it. This is the moment. Life just can?t get any better.?
And then, it does. Such a moment happened to me, last week, while whale watching in Ma?alaea Bay on the Alii Nui.
It was a gorgeous day out on the water. The weather could not have been more perfect and the whale sightings were plentiful. It was a day when total strangers are your friends. We had all shared the experience of seeing these powerful mammals arcing out of the water and diving back in. (This is called breaching.) We had even seen a baby whale heading towards our catamaran until the mother herded her away. I was relaxing against the side of the boat, enjoying the warm breeze and contemplating the perfection of the moment. The activity of the whales had died down and it was almost time to return to the harbor, when Captain Chris...

Growing Your Business With Your Marketing Priorities
by: Charlie Cook
None of us have enough time in the day to get everything done, but small business owners and entrepreneurs like you are particularly pressed. You wear so many hats; there is a seemingly infinite list of tasks to accomplish each day, from providing services to clients, managing product distribution and delivery, to keeping accounting in order.
You try to fit in some marketing when you can, but you're not sure which activities are essential to do each week or each month to build a steady stream of clients. You make some calls, send out a mailing or put up a web site, but you still have that nagging feeling that if you knew which marketing activities translated into the most new business, you could be more successful.
You want more clients or, if not more clients, higher paying clients. So, what are the most important marketing tasks to do in order to attract more of the...

Journal ? Rock Climbs
Journal ? Rock Climbs
by: Rick Chapo
Rock climbing is a great way to challenge yourself and get a heck of a view. Alas, your experiences can fade with time. The best way to prevent this is to keep a journal for rock climbs.
Journal ? Rock Climbs
Take a minute to give some consideration to your most recent rock climbing experience. What sticks out in your mind? Did you go bouldering at Joshua Tree for the weekend? Hit Red River Gorge in Kentucky? Now think about the first time you ever went rock climbing. Undoubtedly, you remember few things about the geography, people you went with and the particular rock climbing routes. The experiences you?ve forgotten are lost to time. If you keep a rock climbing journal, this won?t be the case.
A good rock climbing journal combines a number of characteristics. First, it should be compact so you don?t have to take up unnecessary space for other things. Second, it should have a case to protect it...

Backpacking Journals ? Preserve Your Backpacking Experiences
Backpacking Journals ? Preserve Your Backpacking Experiences
by: Rick Chapo
There are famous instances of people keeping journals throughout time. Of course, Anne Frank?s Diary is the best example. In her diary, Anne kept a running commentary of the two years her family spent hiding from the Nazis. While your backpacking experiences better be more lighthearted, keeping a journal will let you remember them as the years pass.
A good backpacking journal combines a number of characteristics. First, it should be compact so you don?t have to take up unnecessary space for other things. Second, it should have a case to protect it from rain, spills and so on. Third, the journal should contain blank areas to write your notes. Fourth, the journal should contain cue spaces to remind you to keep notes on specific things. Cues should include:
1. Who you went backpacking with,
2. Where you backpacked and if you enjoyed it,
3. Who you met and...

The Worst Internet Marketing Strategy Ever?
The Worst Internet Marketing Strategy Ever?
by: Jason Potash
Many people are downright frustrated.
And when you look at their internet marketing strategy, it's no surprise.
Yet, they all fall into a classic trap that can ruin your chances of online success before you even get off the ground.
Have you heard about the ultimate short-cut to success?
Ultimate short-cut? That's right.
Many are led to believe that this is the holy grail of marketing online.
But, if this is your idea of a perfect internet marketing strategy, think again.
Here's how it works...
It's easy. Create a crappy product and contact every 'sap' who has an opt-in list of 40,000 subscribers or a website that gets a few hundred hits a day. Then ask them all to promote your stuff.
Works like a charm, doesn't it?
If you've ever been on the other end of the inbox, you know how annoying this can be.
Some person who sends you...

How to Naturally Improve Your Vision
by: Ruth Bird
What is 2020 vision?
20/20 vision is a term used to express normal visual acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet. If you have 20/20 vision, you can see clearly at 20 feet what should normally be seen at that distance. If you have 20/100 vision, it means that you must be as close as 20 feet to see what a person with normal vision can see at 100 feet.
20/20 does not necessarily mean perfect vision. 20/20 vision only indicates the sharpness or clarity of vision at a distance. There are other important vision skills, including peripheral awareness or side vision, eye coordination, depth perception, focusing ability and color vision that contribute to your overall visual ability
